Not all who skip out on post-secondary are missing out

The thing I’ve despised the most over the last few years in watching student movements is the complete lack of respect for opposing views that sometimes emerges. Lip service is paid to the value of debate and discussion, but all too often those pushing for a cause do so from a position of already being right, and if they could only educate you, you’d be compelled to agree with them.

    Kathleen Wynne more than just her sexuality

    Although it is exciting and ground-breaking that our first openly gay premier has been elected into office, I have yet to understand why the media focuses in on just Kathleen Wynne’s sexuality and gender, as opposed to the content of her character and political viewpoints.

    Reality TV should not be a government public relations project

    On March 13, dozens of CBSA officers, accompanied by cameras from Force Four Entertainment, raided a Vancouver construction site, arresting dozens of migrant workers despite the stated intention of the CBSA to detain one particular man with a lengthy criminal record. Eight remain in custody and are facing hearings and deportation.
